    Description

A very classy cloth Senorita Doll from the late 1930s made by Munecas Pages-Matarin of Madrid - a competitor of Lenci at the time. She wears a flamenco-type red dress with white dots that has 3 tiers of ruffles on her very full skirt. Dress is sewn on. Hard mask face (molded cloth head) with the wonderful face painting that this maker is know for, featuring side-glancing eyes and no facial touchups. Swivel neck. Fancy braided bun at nape of neck and red felt roses at each ear and on top of head. White panties, white socks, and original red felt shoes. Stuffed cloth body with pin-jointed legs that allow her to sit or stand with ease. Red fingernails and dark red lips. Very good condition; two small, old smudge marks on one arm that are not upsetting. No odors.
A kind eBayer asked me about the doll's shoulders. Turns out, someone had put a colored paper clip on each sleeve. I removed them and added another photo. The sleeves are full and fun - no damage or tears. Please check out the last photo to see her. Great doll!
